The Immersion program offered by Bennett University is focused on providing international exposure and helping students understand the global business and economics. The program intends to help students acquire business skills, entrepreneurial spirit, innovativeness, creativity and most importantly, the courage to venture into unknown. The students are taught by the professors who hold terminal degrees in their respective fields and the hands on experience helps students understand the nitty gritty of the business world.

The Bennett MBA batch went to the Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania for a week long immersion program. The first day was dedicated to marketing research. Professor Jehoshua Eliashberg, the Sebastian S. Kresge Professor of Marketing and Professor of Operations and Information Management at the Wharton School took an insightful session on questionnaire design, reliability and validity, quality of data and correlation and causality. The day ended with students breaking out in groups for the challenging group projects.

On Day 2, Bennett students continued their marketing research journey of their Wharton visit. The students started the day with their group presentations that were well received by the audience. Prof. Josh shifted gears to slightly more advanced topics of ANOVA, regression analysis, and conjoint analysis. The long and rigorous day ended with students again breaking out in groups for their next project.

Day 3 was the last day for the Marketing Research Module. The day started with students presenting their top quality work to the audience and engaging in high decibel questions and answers. Prof Josh continued his top-notch delivery of marketing research concepts by covering factor analysis, perceptual maps, UGC Data and Text analysis. The day ended with a grand farewell to Prof. Josh for the memorable learning experience he provided to Bennett MBA students.

Day 4 started with a lecture by Prof. Rahul Kapoor, Associate Professor of Management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He started with an exceptional introduction detailing the various nuances of strategy and the strategic management process. The session ended with a thought-provoking discussion on how to manage a multi-business corporation. Soon after, the students were taken on an exciting and enriching campus tour.

On Day 5, Prof. Rahul Kapoor continued with his skillful delivery. Students got a 360 degree understanding of the corporate strategy of a firm and how a big conglomerate with presence in multiple industries is managed. The day ended with students witnessing beautiful snowfall at the campus.

On the last day of the Immersion Program, Prof. Saikat Chaudhuri, Associate Professor of Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Executive Director, Mack Institute for Innovation Management dealt with the complex dynamics in inter-organizational relationships. An expert on strategic alliances, Prof. Chaudhuri expertly detailed the various pain areas in alliances and discussed ways to effectively manage these pain areas. The rigorous program ended with a graduation ceremony. Bennett MBA students received certificates by Prof. Jagmohan Raju, Joseph J. Aresty Professor; Professor of Marketing; Vice Dean, Executive Education, The Wharton School.

In essence, Bennett University’s immersion program not only provides a holistic learning experience by also meets the international teaching standards.
