Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Sikkim is a constituent college of Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), established in 1997. Located in Tadong, Gangtok, the institute holds NAAC A+ accreditation and is approved by both the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). SMIT is also NBA-accredited for select programs.
SMIT offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the fields of Computer Applications, Information Technology, and Management. Its flagship programs include a 4-year B.Tech offered in 11 specialisations and a 2-year M.Tech program. Other sought-after courses at SMIT include BCA, MCA, BBA, MBA (with 4 specialisations), and M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
