MBA Program 

Duration: 24 in Months

The MBA Program is unique with case-based learning, state-of-the-art infrastructure, emphasis on acquiring practical skills, establishing strong industry interface culminating in getting excellent final placements for all its MBA graduates. On successful completion of the program students will be awarded an MBA Degree from ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (Deemed to the University), Hyderabad. 

The program comprises 31 courses (of which 23 are compulsory and 8 are electives) and an intensive Summer Internship Program for 12 weeks. These courses are spread over four semesters

The students can pursue elective courses in the streams of Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Operations and Information Technology and Systems. Each student must choose elective courses equivalent to 24 credit units. 

To specialise in a particular stream (Finance/Marketing/HR/Operations/IT and Systems), the students are required to choose 15 credit equivalent elective courses.

Program Fee Structure - 2026–2028 Admissions Cycle

MBA / PGPM Program Fees

Ph.D Program in Management – IBS

IBS aims to develop future management researchers and faculty through innovative, interdisciplinary training focused on modern research methods and sustainable, policy-driven solutions.

Modes: Full-time & Part-time

Program Structure

Duration: 4 years (Full-time)

• Year 1: Coursework + Summer Research + Qualifying Exam

• Year 2–3: Thesis proposal development & research seminars

• Year 4: Thesis completion & submission

Part-time Program:

• Ideal for working professionals & faculty

• Coursework spread over 2 years

• 9-day campus visit each quarter

• Same research milestones as Full-time

The program is rigorous, updated to global standards, and designed to produce high-quality researchers and teachers in management.

PhD Fee

Full-time Ph.D Fee & Fellowship (IBS)

• Admission Fee: ₹40,000 (pay by April 20, 2025).

• Program Fee: ₹60,000 per semester (fully waived as financial assistance, subject to academic performance).

Fellowship / Stipend

• Pre-Ph.D (1st year MBA pathway): ₹20,000/month + free hostel.

• Full-time Ph.D (1st year): ₹25,000/month + free hostel.

• After qualifying exam: ₹35,000/month.

• After thesis proposal defense: ₹40,000/month (up to 4 years total).

• Professional Development Grant: ₹20,000 per year (4 years).

• Students must support teaching/research/admin work for up to 10 hours/week.

• On withdrawal, the student must refund all financial assistance received.

Part-time Ph.D Fee (IBS)

• Admission Fee: ₹40,000.

• Program Fee: ₹60,000 per semester for 8 semesters.

• No fee waiver or stipend.

• First installment due on July 1, 2025.

Career
Graduates may join any organization or apply for faculty roles at IBS/IFHE based on vacancies.

IBS Bangalore Admissions 2026

To apply for IBSAT 2025, start by registering and paying the Rs 1800 application fee. Next, take the IBSAT test or submit scores from CAT, NMAT by GMAC™, XAT, or GMAT™. Note that IBSAT is an online remote-proctored test. After the test, wait for the results announcement. If shortlisted, you will receive an invitation to the selection process at the IBS campus, which includes Micro Presentation and Personal Interview rounds. Finally, upon successful completion, you will receive admission confirmation and campus allocation.

The admission to IBS Bangalore, MBA and PGDM program happens through IBSAT. IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and consists of multiple-choice questions. IBSAT is a two-hour exam designed to gauge a candidate's proficiency in quantitative methods, data interpretation, data sufficiency, vocabulary, analytical thinking, and reading comprehension.

How to Apply

A single application form is used for admission to the MBA/PGPM programs across all IBS campuses and the PhD program at IBS Hyderabad.

The IBSAT Bulletin can be purchased for ₹1,800 through the following modes:

1. Online Purchase

• Fill in your basic details and proceed to the payment page.

• Once the payment is completed, you will receive a confirmation email.

• The IBSAT Bulletin will be delivered within a week.

2. Marketing Offices

• You can also buy the IBSAT Bulletin directly from IBS marketing offices by paying the fee in cash.

Eligibility Criteria

MBA / PGPM Programs

• Graduation in any discipline with 50% or above, with English as the medium of instruction.

• Minimum 15 years of education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4).

• Final-year students may apply, provided all graduation requirements are completed by May 31, 2026.

• All academic documents must be submitted by November 1, 2026, or admission will remain provisional.

• Applicants who did not study in English medium must submit a TOEFL/NELT/IELTS score by May 31, 2026.

• Eligibility verification begins August 2026, and meeting the criteria is the sole responsibility of the candidate.

PhD in Management

To apply for the PhD program, candidates must have:

Academic Requirements

• Graduation with 50% or above, with English as the medium of instruction, and

• Any one of the following:

1. Full-time Post-graduation in Management with a specialization in Marketing, Finance, HRM, or Operations and 55% or above from a UGC-recognized university.

2. Full-time Post-graduation in Economics, Commerce, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields with 55% or above from a UGC-recognized institution (India or abroad).

   • Candidates under this category must complete first-year MBA courses as a prerequisite.

3. A professional qualification such as CFA/CA/CWA/CS with 55% or above.

• Applicants not educated in English medium must submit TOEFL/NELT/IELTS scores by May 31, 2026.

IBSAT Admission Test

IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (Deemed University under UGC Act Section 3).

• Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

• Duration: 2 hours

IBS-Bangalore was established in 1995, with the objective of providing quality management education.

IBS Bangalore has shifted to its own spacious campus from June 2012. This state-of-the-art campus is located in the south- western part of the city, on Bangalore-Mysore highway.
