MBA Program 

Duration: 24 in Months

The MBA Program is unique with case-based learning, state-of-the-art infrastructure, emphasis on acquiring practical skills, establishing strong industry interface culminating in getting excellent final placements for all its MBA graduates. On successful completion of the program students will be awarded an MBA Degree from ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (Deemed to the University), Hyderabad. 

The program comprises 31 courses (of which 23 are compulsory and 8 are electives) and an intensive Summer Internship Program for 12 weeks. These courses are spread over four semesters

The students can pursue elective courses in the streams of Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Operations and Information Technology and Systems. Each student must choose elective courses equivalent to 24 credit units. 

To specialise in a particular stream (Finance/Marketing/HR/Operations/IT and Systems), the students are required to choose 15 credit equivalent elective courses.

Program Fee Structure - 2026–2028 Admissions Cycle

MBA / PGPM Program Fees

Ph.D Program in Management – IBS

IBS aims to develop future management researchers and faculty through innovative, interdisciplinary training focused on modern research methods and sustainable, policy-driven solutions.

• 9-day campus visit each quarter

PhD Fee

Full-time Ph.D Fee & Fellowship (IBS)

• Admission Fee: ₹40,000 (pay by April 20, 2025).

• Program Fee: ₹60,000 per semester (fully waived as financial assistance, subject to academic performance).

Fellowship / Stipend

• Pre-Ph.D (1st year MBA pathway): ₹20,000/month + free hostel.

• Full-time Ph.D (1st year): ₹25,000/month + free hostel.

• After qualifying exam: ₹35,000/month.

• After thesis proposal defense: ₹40,000/month (up to 4 years total).

• Professional Development Grant: ₹20,000 per year (4 years).

• Students must support teaching/research/admin work for up to 10 hours/week.

• On withdrawal, the student must refund all financial assistance received.

Part-time Ph.D Fee (IBS)

• Admission Fee: ₹40,000.

• Program Fee: ₹60,000 per semester for 8 semesters.

• No fee waiver or stipend.

Career
Graduates may join any organization or apply for faculty roles at IBS/IFHE based on vacancies.

IBS Bangalore Admissions 2027

The admission to IBS Bangalore, MBA and PGDM program happens through IBSAT. IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and consists of multiple-choice questions. IBSAT is a two-hour exam designed to gauge a candidate's proficiency in quantitative methods, data interpretation, data sufficiency, vocabulary, analytical thinking, and reading comprehension.

IBS Bangalore Admissions Process for IBSAT 2026

Admission to the MBA 2027–29 program at IBS Bangalore is conducted through the common IBSAT 2026 admission process. Candidates with valid CAT, XAT, NMAT by GMAC, or GMAT scores may also apply without appearing for IBSAT, subject to the institute's admission requirements.

Step 1: Apply for IBSAT 2026

Candidates must complete the online application for IBSAT 2026 by submitting the application form and paying the prescribed application fee. A single application is valid for admission to all participating IBS campuses.

Step 2: Appear for IBSAT 2026 (if applicable)

Applicants who do not have a valid CAT, XAT, NMAT by GMAC, or GMAT score should appear for the IBSAT 2026 entrance test. The exam evaluates candidates on:

• Verbal Ability
• Reading Comprehension
• Quantitative Aptitude
• Data Interpretation & Data Adequacy

Candidates with valid scores in the accepted national-level management entrance exams are exempted from taking IBSAT.

Step 3: Selection Briefing

Shortlisted candidates are invited to attend a Selection Briefing conducted at multiple cities across India. During the session, candidates receive information about the admission process, participating IBS campuses, program structure, and placement opportunities.

Step 4: Micro Presentation (MP)

Eligible candidates participate in a Micro Presentation, where they are given a topic and a short preparation time before delivering a brief presentation. This stage assesses:

• Communication skills
• Confidence
• Analytical thinking
• Presentation ability
• Clarity of ideas

Step 5: Personal Interview (PI)

Candidates who complete the Micro Presentation appear for a Personal Interview. The interview panel evaluates:

• Academic background
• Career goals
• General awareness
• Problem-solving ability
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Overall suitability for the MBA program

Step 6: Final Selection

The final admission offer is based on the candidate's overall profile, including:

• IBSAT 2026 or valid CAT/XAT/NMAT by GMAC/GMAT score
• Performance in the Micro Presentation
• Performance in the Personal Interview
• Past academic record
• Overall profile and eligibility criteria

Selected candidates receive admission offers and must complete document verification and fee payment within the prescribed timeline to confirm their seat.

Eligibility

To be eligible for IBS Bangalore MBA admission 2027, candidates must:

• Hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• Have completed a minimum of 15 years of regular education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4).
• Have English as the medium of instruction at the qualifying degree level. Candidates who do not meet this requirement may need to submit valid English proficiency scores as specified by the institute.

IBS-Bangalore was established in 1995, with the objective of providing quality management education.

IBS Bangalore has shifted to its own spacious campus from June 2012. This state-of-the-art campus is located in the south- western part of the city, on Bangalore-Mysore highway.
