Symbiosis Institute of Business Management stands as one of the largest business schools in India, admitting students based on their SNAP scores.

SNAP entrance exams are conducted annually by Symbiosis, typically in December. Following the announcement of scores, the SNAP selection process commences in the second week of February. Additionally, SIU releases its category-wise cutoffs.

SIBM Bengaluru releases its cutoffs each year after the SNAP score declaration. Candidates meeting the cutoff marks are invited to participate in the GD-PI round. The overall cutoff for 2019 stood at 89.9541 percentile.

Applicants are required to attain a minimum of 50% in their bachelor’s degree exams (45% for SC/ST candidates) to apply to SIBM Bengaluru. Eligible students, based on both cumulative and selection scores, will be summoned for a personal interview at their respective interview centers.

SIBM Bengaluru 2024 MBA Selection Criteria

Admission through SNAP involves an In-person assessment comprising Group Exercise (GE), Written Ability Test (WAT), and Personal Interview (PI). Group Exercise (GE)

The Group Exercise (GE) for the SIBM Bengaluru 2024 MBA SNAP examination will be conducted in two stages. Initially, groups will be assigned a limited time to solve a puzzle, aiming to evaluate their ability to coordinate and strategize as a team. Leadership and teamwork are key attributes assessed during this phase.

In the second stage, candidates will engage in group discussions on a given topic, with five minutes provided for preparation. Factors such as persuasiveness, communication skills, and clarity of thought are evaluated by the conducting authority during this round.

Written Ability Test (WAT)

The Written Ability Test (WAT) involves an essay competition where candidates are tasked with writing an essay on a provided topic. This round assesses candidates’ analytical and interpretive abilities, and may include a video prompt for creating a story.

Personal Interview (PI)

During the Personal Interview (PI), candidates are queried about themselves and their aspirations, including reasons for choosing SIBM Bengaluru and pursuing an MBA at the institute. Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly for the interview and strive to make a favorable impression on the interviewer.

SIBM Bengaluru releases the cutoff after the conclusion of the SNAP examination.
