NIT Uttarakhand Admission Highlights

  • To get admission in one of the undergraduate B.Tech courses the applicants must pass 10+2 level exam with minimum 75% marks from a recognized board or position in top 20 Percentile. The final seat allocation is done based on the JEE rank followed by JoSAA counselling.
  • If anyone wants to take admission in postgraduate M.Tech course, he or she needs to have an undergraduate degree in Engineering / Technology / MCA / AMIE in concerned discipline or a Master’s Degree in appropriate discipline with CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale. Based on the GATE scorecard followed by CCMT counselling, the students will get selected.
  • For PhD admissions in NIT Uttarakhand, the candidates must have a Master’s Degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 (First class) and Bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. The selection is based on Marks obtained at GATE/SET/NET and Witten test (minimum 40% marks).

UG Course

To secure a seat in PhD programme the candidates must have an M.E or M.Tech with a certain percentile. The final seat allocation is done based on marks obtained at GATE/SET/NET and Witten test and it should be minimum 40% marks for the general category.
