NIFT Chennai Admission Process

Admission to all Undergraduate and Postgraduate level courses is done based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination followed by a selection process. However, all candidates need to meet the NIFT eligibility criteria to be eligible to apply for their preferred courses. NIFT Chennai Admissions Highlights

• NIFT Admission for Undergraduate level B.Des courses is done in several steps. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in GAT or General Ability Test and CAT to Creative Ability Test followed by a situation test. All applicants must have passed 12th examination or equivalent examination from a recognised board to be eligible to take admission in the course.

• NIFT Chennai admission to the Undergraduate level B.F.Tech courses, candidates are shortlisted based on General Ability Test or GAT entrance examination followed by a selection process. All applicants need to pass 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board to be eligible to apply for the course.

• For admission to the Postgraduate level Master’s in Fashion Management courses, candidates are required to appear for the GAT entrance exam or General Ability Test followed by Group Discussion and Interview. NIFT eligibility for M.F.M is that all candidates should have a Bachelors in any stream or undergraduate degree from NIFT or NID or any recognised University to apply for the course.

• For admission to the Postgraduate level Master’s in Fashion Technology course, candidates are selected based on the marks obtained in the General Ability Test or GAT followed by Group Discussion and Interview round. All applicants need to pass B.F.Tech or B.E or B.Tech degree from any recognised university to be eligible to apply for the course.
