Important Notes for Students — 2026 Cycle

  • One student can apply to multiple scholarships, but can usually accept only one major financial-aid scheme at a time.

  • Applications are mostly done online, and documents such as income certificate, educational certificates and identity proof are required.

  • Most scholarship windows open after the admission and semester registration process, so be alert for notifications.

  • For PhD students, full-time scholars usually get preference for research fellowships.

Tips to Increase Chances of Getting a Scholarship

✔ Apply early — students who submit applications during the first phase have better chances

✔ Maintain strong academic performance — many scholarships require minimum CGPA/percentage

✔ Prepare income certificate and documents before admission to avoid last-minute issues

✔ Track both JMI scholarships and external foundation scholarships — many are under-utilized because students don’t apply
