International Institute of Sports Management (IISM), Mumbai Overview
International Institute of Sports Management, abbreviated as IISM is the first Institution of its own kind to offer sports management education in India, established in the year 2010. IISM Mumbai was started by Eduhub Education with an aim to offer sports education to sports enthusiasts and make a career in sports. IISM was founded by Mr. Nilesh Kulkarni, former international test cricketer & Sports Edupreneur and Ms. Rasika Kulkarni, Event Management stalwart.
IISM provides vocational training in the field of Sports Event Management, Sports Management, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism and much more. IISM offers four programs both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
IISM has received the prestigious Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar 2020 for Development For Sports by the hands of Hon. President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji. IISM is the first institute in India to have established a dedicated sports research journal called Sports Academia Research Journal (SARJ). SARJ is powered by an international journal called the Inside Journal.
Life at IISM is very nurturing and fostering, which helps to bring forth the spirit of initiative, entrepreneurship and courage in every student along with imparting theoretical education and field experience side by side. The faculty members of the International Institute of Sports Management constantly evolve and adapt diverse methods according to the industrial needs so that its students can build successful careers in sports management.
IISM offers four programs: three-year full-time Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management (BSM), two-year full-time Master's Degree in Sports Management (MSM), 11-month full-time autonomous PGP in Sports & Wellness Management (PGPS&WM), and 11-month full-time autonomous PGP in Sports Event Management (PGPSEM). IISM’s MSM and BSM are offered in collaboration with the University of Mumbai & GICED.

IISM Admission Process
IISM follows a holistic admission process and the selection of aspirants depends upon 2 stages:
Stage 1: a) SMAT (80 marks) b) Overall Performance (20 marks) and Essay for undergraduates/ Caselets for postgraduates (80 marks)
The candidates must at least secure 50% marks in the 1st stage of the admission process (i.e 90 out of 180)
Stage 2: Personal Interview
Stage 1 and 2 cumulatively carry 300 marks and the minimum score required to acquire admission at IISM Mumbai is 60%, i.e., 180 marks.
About SMAT: Sports Management Admission Test is an online entrance test to apply for admission at IISM. The test is specially designed to cater to a very specific domain – i.e. sports management. The test focuses on candidate’s liking & awareness towards the sports industry & their acumen for the business side of sports.

Results and cut-off
Students seeking admission to the undergraduate level courses are shortlisted based on SMAT test scores. Master’s Degree in Sports Management, PGP in Sports and Wellness Management & PGP in Sports Event Management aspirants can apply with their MAH-CET scores and will get a waiver from appearing for SMAT Entrance exam. Shortlisted aspirants are given admission based on sectional and overall cutoffs.
Open category: Minimum required percentage at the HSC and graduation level (Bachelor’s degree) is 50% for applicants belonging to the Open category.
Reserved Category (Maharashtra Domicile applicants only): Minimum required percentage at the HSC and graduation level (Bachelor’s degree) is 45% for applicants belonging to the Reserved category.
