Scholarships

IFMR Graduate School of Business (GSB), Sri City Scholarship:

Full tuition fee waiver scholarship

To help outstanding students overcome financial obstacles in their pursuit of a quality education, IFMR GSB will offer full tuition fee waiver scholarships to three meritorious students.

Applicants will be evaluated for the award of these scholarships on the basis of their academic record, scores on competitive exams, and performance on admissions criteria such as written tests and interviews.

Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship

Objective:

The School extends scholarships to students in need of financial assistance. The objective of the scholarship policy is to ensure that a meritorious student is not deprived of education for financial reasons. This process is intended for those students who have a pressing need for financial assistance.

Eligibility:

  • Minimum CGPA of 3.50 at the end of first year
  • Annual family income less than INR 10 Lakhs

Application Process:

The OAA sends a notification in Term-3 inviting applications to apply for IFMR GSB’s Merit-cum-Means- scholarship. Interested and eligible students will be required to submit the filled in application form along with all supporting documents within 15 days from the announcement of first year CGPA.

Selection Process:

  • Scholarship is given only to those students who are assessed to have the need for it. The Committee makes this decision based on the information provided by the student and a personal interview with him/her, if required.
  • Based on the recommendations of the Scholarship committee, the top 10 students who meet the above eligibility criteria will be considered for the award of scholarship. The scholarship amount shall be up to INR 2 lakhs per student.

IFMR GSB reserves the right to revisit and modify these incentives as deemed fit by competent authorities.

No student can avail multiple scholarships from the University

Merit Scholarships

Based on the CGPA at the end of the second year, merit scholarships are awarded, the details of which are given below:

First Rank: INR 2 Lakhs

Next three ranks: INR 1 Lakh each to three students

If more than one student has the same CGPA, the scholarship amount will be shared among those students equally.

The Scholarship cheques are given to the eligible students in the OAA after the Convocation.

Students who have been found guilty of adopting any unfair / unethical means or violation of discipline will not be eligible for any form of scholarship, medal or award.
