On March 22nd, our class had the unique opportunity to tour a manufacturing factory, RGB, located in Chennai. Specializing in the production of plain bearings, the factory showcased various manufacturing processes we study in our course called Manufacturing Methods. This course holds significant importance for business students, as it provides insights into the diverse techniques employed in the manufacturing sector. During our visit, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who generously shared detailed explanations of the process involved. The facility was impeccably maintained, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail ingrained in its operations.
From raw materials to finished products, we witnessed the seamless integration of diverse stages, guided by precise conditions tailored to optimize the manufacturing process.
The visit not only deepened our understanding of manufacturing methods but also underscored the real-world application of theoretical concepts learned in the classroom.
