IFMR GSB, Krea University Admission 2024

Founded in 1970, IFMR Graduate School of Business (IFMR GBS) operates as an academic division of Krea University and holds accreditation from SAQS. When it comes to placements, IFMR GBS maintains a commendable track record. In the year 2023, the highest offered CTC reached INR 22.9 LPA, while the average CTC stood at INR 13.5 LPA.

IFMR Chennai 2024 offers MBA on the basis of CAT / XAT / CMAT / GRE / GMAT/ NMAT. Interested candidates need to apply for NMAT and XAT entrance exam. Generally the admission procedure ends in the month of April. Apart from MBA, IFMR Chennai offers Ph.D and Executive MBA. All admissions are based on entrance or written tests followed by an interview. Applications are accepted online for MBA and offline for Ph.D.

Admission to the Executive MBA program is determined by evaluating candidates’ educational backgrounds, work experiences, and sponsorship letters. The final selection for the Executive MBA program involves written tests administered by IFMR GBS and subsequent interviews. For Ph.D. admissions, candidates’ scores in RAT or UGC-NET/JRF are considered, followed by an interview. It’s important to note that there are no reserved seats or management quota seats available for admission at IFMR GBS. Admission to the BBA + MBA program is contingent upon performance in the IPMAT, SAT, or KREA Aptitude Test, as well as a Personal Interview.

IFMR Chennai MBA Admissions 2024

IFMR GSB Sri City offers a 2-year full-time MBA program with specialisations in 7 areas, including Data Science & Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Accounting & Quantitative Finance, Marketing, OB & HRM, Operations Management, and Strategic Management.

Other Details

1. Graduates of full-time degree course and or students in the final year of the undergraduate degree can apply.

2. Students from ODL (Open and Distance Learning) institutions are also eligible to apply as per the UGC policy and notification.

3. Applicants must submit valid scores in one (or more) of the competitive exams as mentioned in the eligibility criteria. From among the competitive exam scores given by the applicant, the best score will be considered subject to meeting the eligibility cutoff.

4. Work experience is not required. Fresh graduates as well as candidates with work experience are eligible. Full-time work experience up to 36 months will receive credit during the evaluation of the application.

Selection Process:

Applicants who meet all eligibility criteria will be considered for personal interview in the rank order of merit. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through e-mail and the dashboard of the application portal, along with the interview schedule.

The writing skills of applicants will be assessed using their scores on the relevant sections of the qualifying examination (CAT / XAT / NMAT / CMAT / GRE / GMAT) as well as the quality of writing displayed in their application forms.

IFMR Chennai Executive MBA Admission 2024

IFMR GSB provides Executive MBA programs with specialisations in Finance, Supply Chain & Operations, and Industrial Relations & Human Resources.

Eligibility Criteria for IFMR Chennai EMBA:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or PGDM from recognised institutions.
A minimum of 3 years of work experience is required.
Applicants interested in applying should have a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective sponsoring companies.

Selection Criteria for IFMR Chennai EMBA:

Selection of candidates will be based on written tests administered by the IFMR GSB Faculty.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview.
The final merit list will be generated, taking into account the scores from the written test and the performance in the personal interview.

IFMR BBA + MBA Integrated Programme

FMR GSB offers the five-year integrated programme in Management combining IFMR’s five decades of expertise in Business Education with Krea University’s unique approach to Liberal Education. Students are awarded a BBA degree at the completion of three years and an Integrated MBA degree at the completion of five years
This is a strategically curated programme designed to inculcate attitudes, values, and qualities, develop skills, and build the knowledge foundation for future entrepreneurs and business leaders
Students can choose to exit at varied points in their learning journey and gain these degrees

Students can also choose to take a year long sabbatical between BBA and MBA to acquire experience in the industry, family business or as an entrepreneur

Eligibility

Date of birth of the applicants should be January 1, 2004 or later
Applicants must have passed Class X or equivalent and achieved an overall performance of 60% or equivalent
Applicants must have passed Class XII or equivalent and achieved an overall performance of 60% or equivalent
Candidates that are likely to complete Class XII or equivalent examination by the end of June 2024 can apply
The medium of education should be English in Class XII or equivalent
Applicants must have test scores from IPMAT or SAT or Krea Aptitude Test
Date of the test taken should be within the calendar year 2024 or 2023

Selection Process

The 2024 intake is for 60 seats
Candidates will be selected based on their scores in IPMAT or SAT or Krea Aptitude Test, and online personal interviews
Personal interviews shall assess the fit of the candidates to pursue programme objectives
Merit list of candidates will be prepared based on the overall performance and remarks if any from the interview panel, and admission offers will be issued subject to the sanctioned number of seats

IFMR GSB offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) admissions in 8 specialisations, including Data Science & Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Accounting & Quantitative Finance, Marketing, OB & HRM, Operations Management, and Strategic Management.

Eligibility Criteria for IFMR Chennai Ph.D.:

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree with an aggregate of 55% or hold a 5-year Integrated master’s or dual degree in a relevant discipline with 55% aggregate marks.
Professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA, or CS are accepted with a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examinations.

Selection Criteria for IFMR Chennai Ph.D.:

The application process includes screening applicants based on their educational background, research aptitude, and publications.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in the Research Aptitude Test (RAT), followed by an interview.
Those who have UGC-NET or JRF scores will receive direct interview invitations.
