Scholarship at IIT Dhanbad

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad provides a variety of scholarships and awards to its students in order to help them financially and reduce their expenses. However, each scholarship at IIT Palakkad has specific requirements. Some of the institute’s most popular scholarship programmes are listed below.

What Does Merit Cum Mean? Scholarship:

• Scholarships awarded: 25% of students admitted.
• Tuition fees are waived, and a pocket allowance of INR 800 per month is provided.
• Eligibility: The annual family income cannot exceed INR 6 lakhs.

Merit Cum Means Freeships: Number of Scholarships:

• 10% of students admitted.
• Eligibility: A minimum of 60% in qualifying examinations is required for first-year students, and a GPA of 6.00 in the previous two semesters is required for scholarship renewal.

Budhwanti Mrig Memorial Educational Scholarship (For Female Students):

• Number of Scholarships: 10% of those admitted.
• Monthly award: INR 4000
• Eligibility: A minimum of 60% in qualifying examinations is required for first-year students, and a GPA of 6.00 in the previous two semesters is required for scholarship renewal.

ISM North American Alumni Scholarship for Mineral Earth Science: Number of Beneficiaries:

• 1 Number of Scholarships: 10% of admitted students
• Monthly award: INR 4000
• Eligibility: A minimum of 60% in qualifying examinations is required for first-year students, and a GPA of 6.00 in the previous two semesters is required for scholarship renewal.
• Atlas Copco Scholarship: Number of Recipients: 1 Number of Scholarships: 1
• Monthly award: INR 3000
• Eligibility: Final year meritorious B.Tech in Mining Engineering student with an annual family income of less than INR 3 lakhs.

The Inderjeet and Satyawati Badhwar Scholarship has one beneficiary.

• Scholarships awarded: 1
• Award: INR 1000 per month for the next ten months.
• Eligibility: Final-year B.Tech student in any Engineering discipline with the highest grades and an annual family income that is not subject to income tax assessment.

Sehgal Memorial Scholarship: 1

• Beneficiaries of the S.L. 
• Scholarships awarded: 1
• Award: INR 1000 per month for the next ten months.
• Eligibility: Final-year B.Tech student in any Engineering discipline with the highest grades and an annual family income that is not subject to income tax assessment.

V.M. Salgaocar Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship Number: 1

• Award: INR 1000 per month for the next ten months.
• Eligibility: The 10th best student in the 4th year of the B.Tech (M.E.) programme, with an annual family income of no more than INR 2.4 lakhs.

Savitri Sethi Memorial Scholarship: Scholarship Number: 1

• Award: INR 500 per month for the next ten months.
• Eligibility: Up to the tenth best student in the fourth year of the B.Tech programme, with an annual family income of no more than INR 75,000.

ISS Scholarship

• Number of Scholarships: 1 Award
• INR 1500 per month for the next ten months.
• Eligibility: Students in their final year of B.Tech/M.Sc/M.Tech/MBA with a minimum GPA of 7.00 are eligible. In addition, the student should actively participate in ISS Games, Sports, Athletics, Yoga, NSS, NCC, cultural events, and so on.

OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship:

• Number of Beneficiaries: 4 Number of Scholarships: 4 (one for each student in the first to fourth year of the B.Tech programme) and one for MBA
• Engineering students will receive INR 65,000 per year, while Management students will receive INR 1,25,000 per year.
