IIT Dhanbad Admissions 2024

IIT Dhanbad course admissions to the BTech program for the year 2024 will be determined by the JEE Advanced score 2024, followed by JoSAA Counselling. Every year, admission to IIT Dhanbad M.tech begins in the months of April and June. M.Tech. offers a total of 29 specialisations.

Candidates with a valid GATE score must apply through the IIT Dhanbad course admissions portal. Following that, registration at the COAP portal is required in order to participate in the counselling process. The GATE COAP has three stages: registration, online seat allocation, and admission acceptance.

• Visit the JOAPS official website.
• Register by entering all required information such as the Candidate’s Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, Qualification, and so on.
• Candidates will receive the Enrollment ID after registering. Log in to the JOAPS portal using the Enrollment ID and password.

Admission to the IIT Dhanbad Ph.D. (JRF) Program in 2024

IIT Dhanbad offers Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) in four different specialisations. The IIT Dhanbad Ph.D (JRF) programme is selected through an all-India examination and interview. M.Sc. Tech. and M.Sc. students from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad can also enter Ph.D. programmes directly.

Under this scheme, the top 20% of M.Sc. Tech./M.Sc students from respective Departments with a CGPA of 8.5 or higher can apply for direct admission to the Ph.D programme, with the restriction that each Department can have a maximum of 10 seats for all courses offered by that Department taken together.
