IISc Bangalore Scholarship 

IISc Bangalore offers scholarships to students based on their performance in the qualifying examination. All students are eligible for scholarships or fellowships from the time of enrollment, except for MBA and MSc students. The amount awarded at each degree level is outlined in the table below:

Terms and conditions:

• Incoming students, excluding those in MSc and MBA programs, are eligible for scholarships from various organizations such as CSIR, UGC, DBT, ICMR, MHRD, AICTE, DAE (NBHM), and DST.
• To activate their scholarship or fellowship, students must submit a joining report to the respective authority.
• Additionally, scholarships from companies like GE, INFOSYS, IBM, HP, TATA, PHILIPS, BELL LAB, MICROSOFT, and the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DietY) are available to deserving students.
• These scholarships typically span a minimum of 2 years for MTech and MDes programs and up to a maximum of 5 years for PhD scholars.
• Successful completion of the program is necessary to retain the scholarship benefits.
• If a student discontinues their studies midway, they must refund the entire scholarship amount to the institute before leaving the program.

Who are not eligible for IISc Bangalore Scholarships?

Students receiving salaries from their Employers/Sponsors, as well as those enrolled in MBA and MSc programs, do not qualify for any scholarships or fellowships.
