Dual Degree Programs at BITS Pilani
A popular choice among students, the Dual Degree Programs at BITS Pilani allow students to earn two degrees simultaneously in ten semesters (five years). Students typically begin with any BE or M.Sc program and can opt to pursue a second degree at the end of the first year, depending on their CGPA. The most common dual degree combination is BE + M.Sc, as the M.Sc (Hons) program has a relatively lower cutoff, allowing students to earn a Bachelor of Engineering degree along with a Master of Science degree.
BTech from BITS Pilani
The NIRF Engineering rankings 2021 place BITS Pilani BTech at 26. In its BTech programme, the institute offers seven specialisations. In addition, for working professionals only, BITS Pilani WILP offers off-campus BTech degrees in Engineering Technology and Process Engineering. Admission to the regular BTech programme is based on BITSAT scores. Admission to the off-campus BTech programme, on the other hand, is based on the students’ performance in their most recent qualifying examination.
MBA from BITS Pilani
The Department of Management at BITS Pilani offers a two-year on-campus MBA in Business Analytics. BAAT entrance scores are used to determine admission to the BITS Pilani MBA programme. BITS Pilani WILP also offers online MBA program in seven specialisations.
These WILP MBAs are specifically designed for working professionals, allowing them to further their education while continuing to work in an organisation. The merits obtained by students in their most recent qualifying examination are used to select them for online MBA program.
MTech from BITS Pilani
BITS Pilani provides a two-year MTech/ME programme with 16 specialisations. BITS Pilani MTech/ME admission is based on BITS HD or GATE entrance scores. Candidates with any of the valid exam scores are eligible to apply for the programme. Furthermore, the institute provides a variety of specialised online MTech programmes for working professionals and executives. In the MTech programme, BITS Pilani WILP offers around 15 new and emerging technology specialisations. Admission to the same is done on the basis of the student’s last qualifying examination.
WILP BITS Pilani
Work Integrated Learning Programs (WILP) at BITS Pilani are technical continuing education programmes for working professionals and industries. The programmes provided allow students to gain experience in the working environments of various industries. The programme has grown in popularity over the years. WILP began with 30 students in 1979 and now has over 30,000 professionals enrolled. More than 1000 faculty members are affiliated with the WILP. Approximately 100,000 professionals have graduated with a BITS Pilani WILP certificate/degree to date.
Work integrated learning programmes are available to both working professionals and businesses. MTech, BTech, MBA, MSc, PG Diploma, and PG Certificate programmes are available to working professionals. The program’s classes are held online on weekends so that the student’s career is not disrupted. In addition, the institute offers tutorials, question-and-answer sessions, and industry talks to students. Organisational program, on the other hand, are specialised in IT, engineering, technology, science, and management. The programmes provide technical expertise and skill sets to the organisation’s employees.
Data Science at BITS Pilani
Through its Work Integrated Learning Programs, BITS Pilani offers MTech Data Science and Engineering programmes (WILP). It is a four-semester programme that can be completed without taking a break from work. Mathematical modelling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, product development, and scripting languages are among the topics covered in the curriculum, which prepares students for the most lucrative careers in Data Science, Data Engineering, and Advanced Analytics.
The program’s classes are only taught on weekends by BITS Pilani faculty via live online sessions. The programme also includes experiential learning opportunities such as simulations, online labs, case studies, group discussions, assignments, and project work.
