BPSC 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Any candidate who desires to take up the exam should fulfill the eligibility criteria listed in the rules list. If not the candidate will not be qualified for that particular post. The Eligibility criteria include Age, Nationality, Number of attempts, Educational Qualification. The brief description of the eligibility criteria is given below.
NATIONALITY
The aspiring candidates should be a citizen of India. There is no restriction regarding the domicile. So the candidate residing in any state can apply for the exam. The main criteria are that the candidate must hold Indian citizenship.
AGE
The age limit is an important criterion for any posts. The upper age limit and the lower age limit varies among the posts and the reservations. The age limit is calculated as on August 1, 2018. The minimum age limit for most of the posts is 22 years. There are exceptions to this which is listed in the below table along with the maximum age limit.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
The aspirant should have finished a bachelor degree in any discipline or any equivalent degree from a university or institution recognized by the government of India. There is no limit on the minimum qualifying marks. The candidate must enter the valid details in the application form which will be verified when he appears for the interview process. PHYSICAL FITNESS
Physical fitness will be considered only if the aspirant is willing to enter the Bihar Police Services. The measurement varies among the reservation and also the gender. Physical fitness in terms of height and chest is listed in the below table.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS
The number of attempts varies among the caste. In case of SC/ST, there is no limit on the number of attempts. The applicants who don’t belong to the open category can write up to six attempts. For OBC Noncreamy layer category the candidates can try up to nine attempts. There is no discrimination between the genders in a number of attempts.
