The deciding factor for any exam is the cut off mark. The candidate must score at least a minimum mark to get qualified in that particular exam. The cut off will vary for every year. It should be noted that cut off will vary among the reservation and sometimes among the gender. The candidate can check the cut off mark in the official website after every exam. There is a concession for the grandchildren’s of the freedom fighters of Bihar.

The commission will fix the minimum qualifying Mark for the prelims exam which they will display in the official website. But the marks of the prelims exam will not be considered for the preparation of the merit list. It will serve as the entry ticket to the main exam. For the main exam, the candidate must score a minimum of 30% in Hindi. But that is not cutoff mark. The cut off for all the subjects will be displayed on the official website soon after every exam.

Cut off will be decided based on the following factors like

• The difficulty level of the questions.
• A number of vacancy for that particular post.
• Competition for that particular post.
