The T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI, Manipal) has won the prestigious Business World Education Leadership Summit Award for ‘Excellent Training and Placements’ in the Higher Education Category. The Jury for BW Education Leadership Summit Awards was chaired by none other than Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE and the awards were announced on January 14, 2019 at Four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai.

This award is an endorsement of the efforts taken by TAPMI to build student careers. TAPMI believes in equipping the student for the challenges that he/she will face during the long corporate career.

TAPMI has designed and developed a four-pronged career support system for its students. It starts with the Faculty Advisory System (FAS) in year I of the program. FAS Advisors not only help the students to readjust to the hectic teaching style of the PGDM program but also advise them on summer internships and specializations. Students parallelly undergo Leadership Assessment and Development Counselling (LADC) during the second term of the program. LADC is based on “Transformational Leadership Design” and helps students understand their inherent strength and weaknesses. LADC Counsellor then designs personalized programs for each student to overcome these weaknesses over the period of next six months.

At the start of the second year, as a part of the Industry Input Initiative (I-cube), TAPMI engages professional training agency to conduct mock group discussions and personal interviews so as to prepare the students for final placements. This activity helps the students to understand the areas which need further strengthening so as to be ready for final placement interviews. Finally, to help students make the right career choice and manage the stress that emanates during final placements, TAPMI has established the Career Advisory System (CAS) wherein the CAS Advisors help students achieve their career goals.

Prof. Aditya Jadhav, Chairman Admissions, TAPMI further explained that the year-on-year 100% placements achieved by TAPMI are a result of the strong academic focus and career support systems established at TAPMI. The placements for the PGDM-BKFS (Batch of 2017-19) have been successfully completed (report attached) and the placements for PGDM (Batch of 2019-17) are expected to complete by January 31, 2019.

The Admissions for TAPMI PGDM Programs have started and the last date for applying to TAPMI PGDM Programs is January 18, 2019.
