T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), one of India’s premier b-schools, announced the launch of its two-year full time PGDM Programme in Marketing and Sales Management on 21st November 2018.  (PGDM – MSM). TAPMI will apply to AICTE for program approval in line with the regulatory process.

Targeted at people who work in the Sales & Marketing domain, the programme aims to bridge the demand-supply gap in the market for a fully-loaded Sales Management programme. With technological progress in analytics and big data, making sales job more data-driven, the course and the curriculum is designed keeping in mind the growing demand for well-trained sales professionals in the country.

The graduates from the program will be skilled in domains such as FMCG, Services, B2B and Technology. The program would focus on the much-needed interpersonal skills coupled with technical skills that would help the graduates to succeed in senior strategic positions in Sales.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Madhu Veeraraghavan, Director, TAPMI, said, “Sales is the engine that drives business. Businesses have to contend with challenges and opportunities in the context of competitive intensity, digital penetration and supply side technological changes. Our new program will focus on imparting skills and competencies for creating and managing innovative channel business models”

Program Chair, Prof. Gururaj Kidiyoor said “We are excited about the programme which will be a unique programme. Because the emphasis is on Selling and Sales Management, we would work very closely with the industry to make it a practice-oriented course. We are aware that MBAs need to be relevant to the industry and we shall spare no efforts to make the PGDM – MSM programme the best in the country. We are already in the process forming an advisory board consisting mainly of top sales professionals”.

Admissions Chair, Prof. Aditya Jadhav said “This program is one of its kind. After lot of deliberation we decided to offer a two year program as we want to impart industry relevant skill sets. The second year of the program will focus on the sectors where the student wants to make his career and impart sector-specific knowledge with the help of industry experts.”
