Recently Dr. Alok Pandey has joined IMS, Ghaziabad as the Director and is ambitious to take it to the zenith by attaining new horizons of excellence – be it teaching-learning practices, syllabus designing, national and international placements, state-of-the-art infrastructure, quality research or coveted tie-ups with national and international organization for the global exposure and never-ending success stories of its students.
Prior to joining IMS Ghaziabad as the Director, he was a Professor & the Area Chair in Finance and Member-Secretary of Academic Advisory Body of Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM), Delhi. He also serves as the Director on the Board of CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd. (Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India) where, as an Independent Director, he is a member of key corporate governance committees of the Board of Directors since 2017.
In a career spanning close to 25 years he has served in senior academic & administrative positions in premier institutions in private sector and Government of India. These include Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad, National Institute of Financial Management (Ministry of Finance-Govt, of India) and Institute of Cost Accountants of India (Statutory Body under Ministry of Corporate Affairs-Govt. of India) where he served as the Director of Advanced Studies.
Prof. Pandey is an expert on Capital & Commodity Market Microstructure, Risk Management & International Finance and has taught as an adjunct faculty at several premier business schools including IIFT, New Delhi, IIM-Lucknow and Goa Institute of Management, Goa etc. An avid researcher, he has to his credit over two dozen research articles in peer reviewed ABDC/ SCOPUS indexed journals and has authored and edited four books published by international publishers.
Prof. Pandey is an alumnus of Faculty of Management Studies, BHU (1995) and was awarded Ph.D. in International-Finance by University of Lucknow in 2002. He had also earned a Diploma in International Banking & Finance (DIBF) from IIBF, Mumbai in 2008.
Prof. Pandey is ambitious and confident for developing IMS, Ghaziabad into a World Class Centre for the dissemination of Management Education, IT, Analytics and other emerging areas.
IMS offers PGDM (AICTE approved, NBA accredited & equivalent to MBA by AIU – Association of Indian Universities) & MCA (AICTE approved & affiliated to Dr. A.P.J.A.K.T.U) Programmes.
