The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has concluded its summer placement drive for the 2025 MBA class of the Postgraduate Programme (PGP) in Management. This year’s placement season witnessed the successful placement of 404 students, showcasing an impressive participation of 124 firms spanning various domains across three clusters.

Key Highlights of the Placement Season

  • Consulting Dominates: Consulting emerged as the most sought-after sector, with 142 students securing coveted positions.
  • Diverse Roles: Placements extended across diverse sectors, including 73 students in finance, 48 in marketing, 50 in General Management, 56 in Product/Category Management, and 36 in other domains such as Business Development, HR, and IIMAvericks.

Recruiters and Industry Leaders

  • Management Consulting Giants: In the Management Consulting category, Boston Consulting Group led with 22 offers, followed by significant contributions from Bain & Company, McKinsey, and Kearney.
  • Top Names in Finance: Goldman Sachs topped the Investment Banking and Markets domain, offering nine positions. Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) and Proctor & Gamble were prominent in the Consumer Goods and Durables sector.
  • New Entrants: This year welcomed 12 new recruiters, including Tata Steel, Param Hansa Values, India Sotheby’s International Realty, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited, and NPCI.

Entrepreneurial Ventures and Fellowships

  • Opting for Entrepreneurship: Two students chose to pursue entrepreneurial ventures, opting out of the placement process. They joined the IIMAvericks Fellowship, providing mentorship and financial support for two years, with the flexibility to participate in placements later.

Note: All placements were conducted virtually in three clusters, ensuring the successful placement of all students across more than 25 cohorts.
