Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Final-year students may also apply.

Admission Process

Applications are accepted online through the official DMI admissions portal. Candidates are shortlisted based on entrance exam scores and invited for the selection process, which includes:

Our PGDM program purposefully blends management knowledge and practices with a contextual understanding of development concerns and challenges, addressing them with sustainable solutions for impact. We go deeper than traditional management programs, fostering critical thinking and a sociological understanding of corporations and markets.

Our students are equipped to become IMPACT MANAGERS, prepared to navigate complex environments and work effectively in settings where distributional concerns, social standing, political motives, and cultural nuances are important factors. About 30% of the program is dedicated to experiential learning, providing hands-on experience and real-world application of the concepts learned in the classroom.

Have you ever wondered about the philosophy behind the 21 weeks of experiential learning in the PGDM program at DMI Patna?

What comes to mind when you think about experiential learning—learning by doing on-site, hands-on experience? The PGDM program at DMI highlights the importance of learning by observing, reflecting, and doing. While most management institutes emphasize more on doing, we provide space for students to understand the development canvas critically before their Management Internship.
Our program includes:

Enterprise Learning: Students spend six weeks on-site, revisiting classroom learning and closely observing management functions—operations, project management, finance and accounting, marketing and sales, HR, and more. This helps students learn the end-to-end functionalities of enterprises and understand corresponding business challenges.
Development Immersion: Five weeks dedicated to exploring policies, development concerns and challenges, and the social implications of economic pursuits. This lays the foundation for brighter career choices in the development sector.
Management Internship: A ten-week internship provides the necessary exposure to work on business problems and development concerns. Students become fully functional and resourceful individuals ready to embark on careers as development professionals—development practitioners or social entrepreneurs.

We take a holistic approach, carefully crafting the managerial dimensions of the developmental process in their thinking and grooming their capabilities for effective functioning.

DMI Campus is coming up in Bihta, Patna. At present the transit campus is located in Udyog Bhawan, East Gandhi Maidan, Patna. The Bihta campus is located next to NIT Patna. The campus is expected to be operational in August this year. Please let us know if you need more information.
