The placement process has been completed by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad for the one year MBA programme for the class of 2019. The placements was for the full-time graduate programme with a total of 114 offers in Management for executives (PGPX). The placement process for the PGPX students started with 75 firms visiting the campus last November. The students of PGPX of the thirteenth batch have had a prior work experience ranging from 5 to 17 years. These students are being recruited for the mid-senior and senior level of management positions. Some of the positions that are being offered to the students include vice-president, associate vice-president, group CFO, director-sales, head of operations, general manager, etc.

Amit Karna, the chairperson of the Placement Committee, said that “We were pleased to note that 27 new recruiters were able to successfully participate in our campus placement process and hire the best talent for their organizational needs.”

Different firms have offered a total of 290 different roles for the campus placement process of this year. The IT firms took the leading position with highest job offers (47 offers), followed by BFSI (15 offers), Engineering/Technology (11 offers), and online services (9 offers). The number of students who did not seek placements through the institute is 20. Three of these students have chosen to pursue entrepreneurship.

Some of the firms that participated in the placement process include Amazon, Adani Group, Accenture, Adidas AG, ElasticRun, Flipkart, Ericsson, Google, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Genpact and more. Some of the firms that made the largest number of offers are RPG Group, Accenture and Innoviti Payment Solutions. One international offer was also made this year along with the others.
