It is the minimum mark that is a must to enter into the university. It varies from year to year and depends mainly on the number of applicants and demand for that particular course. It also depends on the difficulty level of the questions in the exam. It varies among the institutions. The cut off will give an insight about the exam and that could be used for the preparation.

Apart from AISECT universities various other colleges that accept AJEE are Mody University,   K L College of Engineering, Greater Noida Institute of Technology, Manipal Institute of Technology, Alliance College of Engineering and Design. And also they offer a scholarship for minority, reserved category, and meritorious students after admission. The scholarship of worth 2 crores is allotted for this purpose. Hence various institute accepts the AJEE score and the availability of scholarship makes the exam more competitive. So having knowledge on the previous year cut off score the candidate can easily estimate his rank without even having a look on the rank list.
