UPSC CAPF 2019 Syllabus

The detailed syllabus for UPSC CAPF written exam is given below along with some instructions to be followed during the examination. The candidate can go through it and plan accordingly to succeed in the exam. There are 6 important topics for Paper I which is listed below with a detailed description.

PAPER I

General ability and Intelligence

The paper comprises objective type questions that cover the areas of

  • Scientific temper
  • Comprehension of the scientific phenomenon in everyday life

  • Current events in culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, globalization.
  • Communications and trade among the nations.
  1. Indian Polity and Economy

  • India’s Political system.
  • Constitution of India.
  • Social systems and public administrations.
  • Economic development in India.
  • Human rights.
  • National and international security issues.
  1. History of India

  • Social, economical and political issues.
  • The growth of nationalism and freedom movement.
  1. Indian and World Geography

  • The physical, social and economic aspect of geography in India.

PAPER II

General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension

PART A (80 marks)

Question and answer type briefly that includes the topics such as

  • Modern Indian History especially freedom struggle,
  • Geography,
  • Polity and economy,
  • Knowledge of security and human rights issues,
  • Analytical ability

PART B (120 marks)

  • Comprehension passages,
