The syllabus of the IIFT entrance exam has been designed on the basis of application of high school English and mathematics paper.

Apart from the regular subjects of a number of MBA entrance exams, IIFT expects that the candidates are well versed in the General Knowledge section.

The marking scheme is different for the IIFT entrance exam and each of the questions have a weightage of 0.5 marks to 1 marks each and with every wrong answer 1/3rd marks are deducted additionally.
