Siddaganga Institute of Technology Admission Process 2025
Siddaganga Institute of Technology conducts admissions through both online and offline modes. Online admissions are available for all courses, but candidates need to visit the college for document verification after completing the admission process.
Regarding seat allocation at SIT, 45% of total seats are reserved for CET candidates, 30% for COMED-K candidates, and the remaining seats are allocated to JEE Main score candidates under the Management Quota.

UG Courses
- Karnataka residents should take the KCET exam for BE admissions, while those outside Karnataka must clear the COMEDK exam.
- After qualifying, students participate in counseling to choose a college based on their rank.
- A rank up to 3000 is needed for CS/IT and Circuital branches, while 10,000 is sufficient for Mechanical/Civil branches.
PG Courses
- Candidates with a valid GATE score or PGCET of Karnataka are eligible for admission to MTech courses.
How To Apply?
- Apply through Karnataka CET by visiting the KCET website.
- Download the information brochure from the KCET website.
- Fill and submit the online application form, providing all necessary details as per the information brochure.
- Pay the application fee online through e-Challan.
- Upload scanned copies of passport-size photographs, candidate's signature, candidate's left hand thumb impression, and parent's signature.
- Retain at least three printouts of the finally submitted online application.
- Keep proof of fee payment.
- Preserve 2-3 copies of identical photographs that were scanned and uploaded.
- Admit cards will be issued to all successful applicants for the CET. Preserve the Admit Card until the admission in college.
- Outside Karnataka candidates can apply through COMEDK.

For Ph.D. Programs

The centrally located SIT Library comprises two independent three-story buildings covering a total area of 1851 sq. m. It was established through a generous donation by Sri T.N. Kempahonnaiah, a philanthropist from Tumkur.

The library has tie-ups with prestigious libraries such as the British Library, NAL Library, IIMB Library, and CMTI Library in Bangalore. It can accommodate up to 543 users at once, with two air-conditioned reading halls (150 users each). The library is fully computerised using NewGenLib software, and students can access the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) across campus.
Hostel Facilities
The SIT Group of Hostels manages 4 boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels with a total capacity of 2,100 students over a built-up area of 30,021 sq. m. Each hostel is overseen by a faculty member acting as Deputy Warden. Rooms are furnished with cots, study tables, chairs, book racks, and ceiling fans.
A guest house is available at nominal charges for visiting parents and guardians, who can also use the hostel mess facilities during their stay.
