Shobhit University, Meerut Admission Process

At the doctoral level, the university offers a one-year M.Phil program and a three-year Ph.D. program in various specialisations. A master’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks is the basic eligibility requirement.

Applicants holding a valid score in JRF/NET (UGC/CSIR), GATE, GPAT, or SLET are exempt from the university’s Entrance Test. Similarly, candidates who are Teacher Fellowship Holders or recipients of fellowships from DST (INSPIRE), ICMR, or any other National Agency are also exempt from the entrance test.

If an M.Phil. student wishes to pursue admission to the Ph.D. program after completing the M.Phil. examination, they will be exempt from the Entrance Test but will be required to participate in an interview round.

Shobhit University M.Phil & Ph.D. Application Process

The application form can be completed either online or offline, following the steps outlined below:

Online Application:

1. Visit the official website of the university and complete the application form.
2. Make the payment of INR 2100 as the application fee using Credit/Debit Card or Net-Banking.
3. Save and submit the application form for further admission procedures.

Offline Application:

1. Download the application form from the official website of the university.
2. Pay the application fee of INR 2100 through a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favor of “Shobhit University” payable at Meerut/ “Shobhit University” payable at Gangoh’.
3. Send the duly filled application form, along with one recent color photograph and photocopies of all marks sheets and certificates, to:

At the undergraduate (UG) level, Shobhit University offers a B.Tech program across various specialisations, with a duration of four years. Additionally, the University provides an opportunity for direct admission through the Lateral Entry scheme, which has a duration of three years.

Candidates who have appeared for the 10+2 board examination with Science and Mathematics from a recognised university or its equivalent are eligible for admission to the B.Tech program. For eligibility in the B.Tech Lateral Entry scheme, candidates must possess a Polytechnic Diploma in a relevant discipline.

SUNET Details:

Shobhit University Meerut course admissions to the B.Pharm and M.Pharm programs is based on the candidates’ qualifying marks. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a counseling procedure for final admission.

Shobhit University provides a range of undergraduate (UG) courses across various specialisations. The final Shobhit University Meerut course admissions to these courses is conducted through a centralised admission process managed by the university following the announcement of SUNET results. Upon the declaration of the SUNET results, shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in further counseling sessions.

Shobhit University Meerut course admissions to the BAMS & BNYS programs is determined by the marks obtained in the NEET UG examination conducted at the national level.

Key Points:

• The results of all undergraduate qualifying exams will be disclosed in May. Counseling sessions for undergraduate programs will be held from the beginning of June until the first week of July.
• For BA-LL.B & BBA-LL.B courses, candidates with a minimum of 60% marks in the 10+2 examination are eligible for direct admission.

Documents required at the time of Counselling: 

At the time of admission, candidates are required to submit the following documents:

• Marks sheet and certificate of 10+2 & 10th from a recognised board.
• For the B.Ed. program, graduation or master’s certificate and marks sheet.
• Certificate of the 10+3 Diploma in Engineering.

Shobhit University provides a range of postgraduate (PG) courses including M.Ed., M.Sc, M.Com, MBA, and MCA, offered in various specialisations.

For all courses except M.Sc. (Biotechnology), M.Tech, and MBA, admission is based on a merit list. Students are required to take the Shobhit University National Entrance Test (SUNET) to secure admission in these PG courses.

In addition to SUNET, candidates with a valid score in GATE & CAT are given preference for M.Tech & MBA programs respectively. The minimum percentage required for admission to M.Ed. is 50% (in B.Ed. / B.T. / L.T) for general candidates, while it is 45% for SC/ST candidates.

Foreign/NRI/NRI sponsored candidates applying for M.Ed. must have a minimum aggregate of 55% (in B.Ed. / B.T. / L.T). Such candidates are exempted from any aptitude test requirement.
