NIT Surathkal Placements 2022

In the NIRF 2020 rankings, the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surathkal secured the 33rd position in the overall rankings. The institute is currently in the process of conducting its placement drive for the 2022 batch, and so far, an impressive 86.1% of students have already secured job placements. Specifically, within the B.Tech program, a remarkable 96.9% of students have found job placements, with a total of 1,385 out of 1,608 students successfully placed. Notably, Microsoft extended the highest annual package of INR 45 LPA to a group of nine students.

During the 2022 placement season, the placement rates for undergraduate (UG) students reached 91%, while for postgraduate (PG) students, it was 78%, marking a significant 20% increase compared to the previous year. Although the placement scenario had been relatively lackluster for the past two years, the year 2022 saw a noteworthy improvement, with a total of 1,385 students securing placements at an average annual salary package of 13.12 LPA. The campus attracted some prominent recruiters, including DE Shaw, Microsoft, Uber, Arcesium, Amazon, Oracle, and Google India, among others.

The 2022 placement drive at the campus attracted a total of 450 companies. Out of the combined pool of eligible students from both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) batches, consisting of 1,608 individuals, an impressive 1,385 students secured placement opportunities. Microsoft led the pack by offering the highest package of INR 45 LPA, while the average package for the placed students was INR 13.12 LPA.
