The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 results were announced on April 19. For the General category, the minimum qualifying cutoff percentile is 93.1023262.

Admissions for NIT Nagaland’s Full-Time/Part-Time PhD programs for 2025 are currently open under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT – Phase II. Interested candidates must submit their application forms along with a fee of INR 1000 at the institute by May 25, 2025.

NIT Nagaland offers a range of 22 courses across B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, and Ph.D programs. The B.Tech program, available in 6 specialisations, is the institute’s flagship course. To gain admission to the B.Tech program, candidates must first appear for the JEE Main examination and then participate in JoSAA counseling for final seat allocation. The cutoff rank for the highly sought-after Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) stream at NIT Nagaland ranges between 16,589 and 28,506.

For M.Tech and M.Sc admissions, candidates are selected based on GATE and IIT JAM scores, respectively, followed by the CCMT and CCMN counseling processes.

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech program at NIT Nagaland must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 75% marks (or 65% for SC/ST candidates) in the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational Subjects.

  • Candidates must have qualified the JEE Main entrance exam.

B.Tech Selection Criteria

Admission to the B.Tech program at NIT Nagaland is based on the results of the 10+2 exam and JEE Main score. A merit list will be prepared based on candidates’ All India Rank (AIR) in the JEE Main examination, categorised accordingly.

To participate in the admission process, candidates must register for online counseling on the official JoSAA website. Seats will be allotted based on the cutoff set by NIT Nagaland.

M.Tech & M.Sc Eligibility Criteria

  • M.Tech: Candidates must have a B.Tech degree with a minimum of 60% marks (or 55% for SC/ST candidates) and must have qualified the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam in the relevant discipline.

  • M.Sc: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks (or 55% for SC/ST candidates) and must have qualified the IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.).

M.Tech & M.Sc Selection Criteria

Admission to both the M.Tech and M.Sc programs is based on the performance in the respective qualifying degree and entrance exams (GATE for M.Tech and IIT JAM for M.Sc).

Candidates must register for online counseling through the official CCMT (Centralised Counseling for M.Tech/M.Sc) website. Seats will be allocated based on the cutoff and merit.
