STATE OF THE ART CLASSROOMS

Classrooms are aesthetically designed air conditioned. They are also equipped with high speed internet connectivity, hi-definition projectors and video conferencing facility for enriching classroom experience. Amphitheatre style AC Classrooms provides the clear one point vision without any angular perspective.

LIBRARY

Library of MDI-M is enriching with both printed as well as electronic resources which include books, journals, databases, and e-journals. This library has contributed significantly in supplementing the class room teaching and learning by further reading. The online library portal is accessible across the MDI Murshidabad campus network on 24 x 7 basis. Users can access full text resources and know the real-time status of various library materials from their own computer terminals.

Library has a collection of around 12000+ books while the online library portal provides access to over 9,000 e-journals.

To conduct research and advanced reading, MDI-M library has access to e-journals and databases like J-Gate, Market Line, Business Source Complete (EBSCO), Sage Online Journals collection, Emerald and CMIE databases etc. Library is open seven days a week.

COMPUTER CENTRE (ARYABHATTA)

MDI-Murshidabad has state­ of the art computing facility consisting of 251 PC nodes and two servers, connected on a high speed Gigabit Ethernet Fiber Optic/UTP based network in a distributed Windows and Linux environment.

Computer Lab: MDIM has two Computer Lab equipped with the 142 numbers of state of the art computing facilities along with LCD projectors are installed in the lab which are being used by students and MDP participants.

Firewall: The Campus Network is protected using Sophos Firewall. Email virus protection is provided through Kaspersky End Point Security for Business – Advance. The MDI-Murshidabad implements a very strict security policy to ensure the highest levels of network health and safety.

Email System: The Google based email system which is widely used and is very user-friendly which allows users to access emails, both from inside the MDI Murshidabad campus and outside.

Internet Connectivity: MDI-Murshidabad has dedicated Internet Leased Line (ILL) which offers high speed and uninterrupted Internet connectivity from anywhere on the campus, through the campus LAN.

Wi-Fi Facility: To provide flexibility and convenient access to network facilities, Wi-Fi equipments have been installed at various places in MDI Murshidabad campus like Library, Boys’ Hostel, Girls’ Hostel, Board Room & Director’s Office, Executive Hostel, Cafeteria and other outdoor locations of the campus etc.

Video Conferencing Facility: MDIM has an internet based Video Conferencing Facility setup. This facility is used for placement interviews, virtual student seminars and classes of various subjects etc.

Digital Signage: Digital Signage’s are installed at various locations of the MDI Murshidabad campus which displays the information about MDIM activities i.e. latest information about MDIM events, corporate movie of MDIM etc.

Bloomberg Finance Lab at MDI Murshidabad

MDI Murshidabad has set up a state-of-the-art Bloomberg Finance Lab powered by four Bloomberg Terminals in December 2018.

The vision of the Finance Lab at MDIM is to enhance the MDIM vision of developing thought leaders and change masters through incorporating next generation tools into institutional learning processes. Developing an insight into Global Financial System through Bloomberg Labs allows for a comprehensive and strategic positioning of MDIM in the academic space, the finance sector, and industry through robust research, market surveillance and analysis.

The Finance Lab aims to support advanced applied research in financial markets and equip finance students and managers with the mathematical and conceptual theories and best practices in financial markets that go into the creation and management of innovative financial products.

With Bloomberg for education, students can deepen both their research and classwork, through real time data access. Learning how to analyse financial markets, assess economic scenarios, and interpret the key new developments that impact the global economy is key for developing a cutting edge skillset. The skills that students acquire from this experience provide them with the confidence and competitive advantage they need for surviving a global marketplace of talent.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

MDI Murshidabad provides health care service facilities to the students at every beck and call. A Doctor is available on regular basis to provide periodical check up, first-aid assistance and emergency care to all students at the medical centre AROGYA. Basic facility for treatment of ailments like cold, cough and minor injuries is available at the campus sick room.

RECREATION FACILITIES

MDI Murshidabad enthralls the visitors through lush green fields, ambience of serenity and the state-of-the-art infrastructure facilitates their implementation. STUDENTS’ HOSTEL

The hostel have the best state-of-the-art facilities to make student life comfortable and make them feel a home away from home. It is obligatory on the part of the students to stay in the MDI Murshidabad campus and get adapted to multi-cultural environment which believes in diversity inclusion.

All the hostels are under the supervision of their concerned Wardens & Hostel Superintendents.

Since it is a residential course, students of PGDM, stay on MDI Murshidabad Campus and they are provided with accommodation on one to one basis. The hostel provides a cot, study table, chair, book rack and wardrobe for each student. Every hostel has uninterrupted electricity, water facility, water cooler with Kent filters, recreation hall, gymnasium and indoor games facilities.
