Scholarship at Jadavpur University

Jadavpur University provides financial assistance to students who are economically disadvantaged but academically strong. The university offers several financial aid programmes to help deserving candidates meet their educational expenses. The following are some details about the scholarships:

• Concession Fees: The university provides tuition fee concessions to needy and meritorious students.
• Stipends: The university offers stipends based on need. A number of endowments have been made for the students by some generous people, from which nearly 80 stipends can be distributed among the needy, one-fourth of which may possibly go to first-year students.

The following scholarships are available to Jadavpur University students:

• Fee Reduction: On the recommendation of the departments, meritorious candidates are offered full and half freeships.
• Stipends are approved by the DPI office. Generally available to candidates on a merit-based basis.
• Scholarships are available from the state and federal governments for candidates who fall into the SC, ST, or PH categories.
• Stipends/Scholarships are available for B.Ed (Physical Education) students.
• Special DPI Scholarships
