IRMA Admission process

The Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) was established in 1979 and is one of the oldest rural management institutes in the country. The main focus of this institute is to contribute significantly to the growth and transformation of rural India.

On the postgraduate level, the college offers two courses- Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM)  and Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural), PGDMX(R).

On a doctoral level, it provides one course- Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM). It also provides a Certificate course in Rural Management (CRM) for sponsored employees.

IRMA Admission Highlights

  • For PGDRM, the candidates have to appear for CAT or XAT exams and have to score above the cutoff percentile. Shortlisted candidates further appear for IRMASAT, GD and PI at campus.
  • For PGDMX(R), candidates are shortlisted on the basis of CAT, XAT or GMAT scores. They should have at least five years of work experience to be admitted to this course.
  • For taking IRMA admission in FPRM, the students must appear for CAT, XAT or any of its like. Along with the application, they must send a research proposal of about 2,000 words to get selected.

PG Course Admission Process

Courses Specialization Eligibility Selection Criteria
Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) Rural Management Graduates having a bachelor’s degree (10+2+3/4) with no uncleared papers and minimum 50% marks in graduation (45% for SC and ST and DAP)

Candidates in final year can also apply

Valid CAT, IRMASAT, XAT or GMAT score

Candidates who are getting more than 85 percentile in CAT or XAT will have to give IRMA Social Awareness Test 2019 (IRMASAT 2019), PI and GA process
Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural) PGDMX(R) Executive Rural Management Applicants must have a graduation degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade (45% for SC and ST and DAP)

Candidates must have a minimum of five years of work  experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity

Valid CAT, XAT or GMAT score

Weightage

Entrance Test Score – 35%

Academic Performance – 10%

Exotic Careers – 5%

Group Discussion and Personal Interview – 40%

Extra-curricular Activities and Sports – 5%

Gender diversity – 5%

Final Selection will be done based on the parameters above

Certificate in Rural Management (CRM) Rural Management Candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognised university

Applicants must be sponsored candidates from the organisations they are working

Candidates must work with the sponsoring organisation for at least two years

Applicants must appear for written test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview

Candidates will be selected based on Written Test AND GDPI performance  

Research Course Admission Process
