IIT Patna Male Hostel Fee: 26.50 k – 39.40 k

IIT Patna has five hostels, four of which are Boys’ Hostels known as Halls of Residence and are conveniently located near the transit campus. The hostels are surrounded by lush greenery.

Boys’ Hostels at IIT Patna

  1. Aryabhatta Hall is the college’s first hostel, which opened in 2008. It was named after the great mathematician and astronomer Aryabhatta. The hostel can accommodate up to 150 students.
  2. Ashoka Hall – The Ashoka hostel can also accommodate 150 students.
  3. The Chanakya Hostel is divided into two halls: Chanakya Hall I and Chanakya Hall II.
  4. NBH (New Boys Hostel)

Boys’ Hostels at IIT Patna Facilities:

  • Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity are available.
  • All students are covered by the Vidyarthi Mediclaim Insurance Policy for health care services.
  • A basketball court, a volleyball court, and a badminton court are among the sports facilities.
  • Indoor activities include a gym, an indoor badminton court, a music and dance hall, and a yoga studio.
  • Every year in the month of February, students elect a student senate.

The hostels’ fee structure is as follows:

  1. Rs. 400/- for hostel admission (One Time)
  2. Rs. 500/- for Hostel Rent (Per Semester)
  3. Fee for Hostel Development Rs. 500/- (Per Semester)
  4. Rs. 1,500/- for fan/electricity/water charges (Per Semester)
  5. Rs.1,000/- as Hall Caution Money (One Time Refundable)
  6. Deposit of Rs. 1,500/- for Mess (One Time Refundable)
  7. Rs. 1,000/- for Hall Mess Establishment (One Time)
  8. Mess Fees: Rs. 12,000/- (Per Semester on Advance Basis)

IIT Patna has one Girls’ Hostel, which is located near the IIT Patna guest house and about a kilometer from the transit campus.
