Ropar Scholarship at IIT 2023

The IIT Ropar scholarships are awarded to students based on their performance in the JEE and GATE examinations.

MCM (Merit-cum-Means) Scholarship for B.Tech Students

The institute awards scholarships to students based on their All India Rank (AIR) in the JEE examination. In McM, the amount offered is INR 1,000. The scholarship is renewed based on academic achievement.

M.Sc students can apply for the Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship.

M.Sc students receive a scholarship in the form of a tuition fee waiver based on their JAM score. The basic criteria for continuing the scholarship are as follows:

  • The applicant must have a CGPA of 6.0 or higher.
  • The family’s annual income should be up to 4.5 lakhs.

M.Tech./M.S. scholarship

Students with a B.E/B.Tech/B.Des degree and a GATE/GPAT score are eligible for a fellowship award (12,400).

Scholarship for Doctoral Students

To be eligible for the JRF scholarship and fellowship amount (25,000 per month + 10% HRA if applicable), the applicant must have a PG Degree in Basic Science with a GATE/NET score or a Degree in the professional course. To be eligible for the SRF scholarship and fellowship amount (28,000) per month + 10% HRA if applicable), the applicant must have completed JRF and have two years of research experience. After completing three years of the Ph.D. programme, students can apply for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship.
