IIT Mandi is situated in the scenic Kamand Valley of Himachal Pradesh. Spread over 538 hectares, the campus includes about 200 hectares of flat land, with the remainder being mountainous terrain. The institute is divided into the North and South campuses, both located in Kamand. Here’s a detailed overview of the IIT Mandi campus facilities:

• Hostels:
  
  IIT Mandi houses a total of eight hostels — five in Mandi town and three in Kamand. Hostels are segregated for boys and girls and are overseen by Assistant Wardens. Each hostel is equipped with essential amenities such as common rooms, LCD televisions, recreational spaces, and attached mess facilities that provide healthy meals.

• Eateries:
  
  There are four mess halls on campus, serving three meals a day to students, faculty, and staff. Two messes (Pine and Oak) are located in the North Campus, while two others (Maple and Cedar) serve the South Campus. The Student Mess Committee decides the menu, with a focus on nutritious meals using locally sourced vegetables.

• Sports Facilities:
  
  IIT Mandi promotes a healthy lifestyle through a variety of sports facilities for both indoor and outdoor games, including cricket, table tennis, football, basketball, badminton, volleyball, and athletics. The campus hosts the annual Inter-IIT Sports Meet, and students are actively encouraged to participate in state, national, and international level competitions.

• Technical Clubs:
  
  The Science and Technology Council (SNTC) serves as the institute’s technical hub, encompassing clubs related to Programming, Bioengineering, Robotics, Astronomy, Mechanical Design, Civil Engineering, and Entrepreneurship. These clubs foster innovation and regularly represent IIT Mandi in national and international events. Students can join the council anytime based on their interests.

• Central Library:
  
  IIT Mandi boasts a state-of-the-art Central Library located at the North Campus. It houses a vast collection of physical and digital resources, including textbooks, research journals, e-books, and online databases. The library is fully automated and provides 24/7 access to e-resources for students and faculty.

• Innovation and Incubation Center (Catalyst):
  
  Catalyst, IIT Mandi’s technology business incubator, supports startups and entrepreneurs from across India. It offers mentorship, funding opportunities, co-working spaces, and access to laboratories to foster innovation and commercialisation of technology.

• Healthcare Facilities:
  
  The campus provides a Health Center staffed with full-time doctors and nurses to cater to students’ and staff’s medical needs. Regular health checkups, emergency services, and tie-ups with nearby hospitals ensure comprehensive healthcare support.

  IIT Mandi has well-furnished guest houses for visitors and dignitaries. Additionally, there are auditoriums and seminar halls equipped with modern audio-visual facilities to host conferences, seminars, workshops, and cultural events.
