IISER Kolkata Scholarships

IISER Kolkata offers Scholarships for the summer research programs each year. Students of B.Sc., M.Sc., B.S., M.S., B.Tech and B.E. from institutions or universities across the country get an opportunity or exposure to a research environment through this research program. Also, the students who are unable to pay for these research programs can avail the scholarship schemes given below.

Some of the popular financial aids provided are: 

• Financial Support – 

Students taking admission through Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana or INSPIRE or any other summer research fellowship receives financial support from the respective sponsoring organization for the Indian Academy of Sciences summer fellowship program.

A limited number of IISER-K summer research fellowships are available and the details of which are notified in due time by the institute authority. The Fellowship amount provides with the amount of Rs.1,250 per week or Rs. 10,000 for eight weeks.

• Centre for Advanced Functional Materials or CAFM –

IISER Kolkata’s Centre for Advanced Functional Materials offers fund for two summer students, who are selected by a committee through special selection criteria.

The selection is done out of all the applications made to the CAFM associated faculty supervisors for the scholarship. This Fellowship offers an amount of Rs.1,750 per week or Rs. 14,000 for eight weeks.
