Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata takes admission to all the courses through marks scored in the entrance examination followed by counselling. The candidates who meet the criteria for admission can apply for his or her preferred courses. IISER Kolkata application form is available on its official website. 

IISER Kolkata Admissions Highlights

• IISER Kolkata eligibility for Undergraduate level dual-degree BS+MS programme, candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in JEE Advanced or IISER aptitude test or through KVPY Scholarship. All applicants must pass class 12th examination with minimum 60% aggregate in science group to be eligible for the course.

• IISER Kolkata admission for Postgraduate level MS programme, candidates are selected through marks scored in their Undergraduate degree examination followed by counselling. However, all candidates need to have a B.E or B.Tech in any relevant stream to be eligible to apply.

• IISER Kolkata admissions for Doctoral level Integrated PhD programmes, candidates are selected based on the marks scored in JAM or JGEEBILS or JEST followed by merit and Interview round. All applicants must have a BE or B.Tech or B.Sc or MBBS with a minimum of 60% marks in Hons or Major for general category candidates and 50% for SC or ST or OBC category candidates to be eligible to apply.

• IISER Kolkata admission 2019 for Doctoral level PhD programmes candidates are required to have relevant work experience and selection is done purely based on merit. All applicants must have a postgraduate degree in any relevant stream to be eligible for the course.

• For Postdoctoral research programmes, candidates are shortlisted based on merit followed by interview round. Candidates having a PhD degree in any relevant field of study is eligible to apply for the course.
