Gujarat Maritime University – Result & Cutoff Details (2025)

LLM Program

  • Selection Basis:

Admission to the LLM program is based on a National-Level Online Entrance Test followed by a Personal Interview (PI).

  • Result Declaration:

Results for the LLM entrance test are announced on the official GMU website. The university publishes a merit list based on the combined scores of the entrance test (70%) and PI (30%).

  • Cutoff Trends:

The cutoff varies each year depending on the number of applicants, difficulty level of the test, and seat availability. However, a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance test is usually required to qualify for the interview round.

  • CLAT Score (if seats remain vacant):

In case of vacant seats, CLAT scores are considered. In previous years, candidates with CLAT PG ranks up to 3000–4000 have been considered, subject to merit and category.

MBA Program

  • Selection Basis:

For MBA (Shipping & Logistics), GMU accepts valid scores of CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, or GMAT, followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

  • Result & Merit List:

A combined merit list is prepared based on the entrance exam percentile, performance in GD/PI, and academic profile.

  • Expected Cutoff Ranges:

    • CAT/CMAT: 60–70 percentile

    • MAT/XAT: 65–75 percentile

    • GMAT: Score of 450+

These are indicative ranges and may vary slightly depending on the applicant pool.
