The MBA program comprises core course credits and elective course credits, with courses ranging from one to four credits each. The total credits available in the program amount to 130. Each credit corresponds to ten and a half hours of teaching or contact sessions. The M.B.A. program encompasses thirty-five teaching courses, including a seminar course and a Master’s level dissertation. Additionally, students are required to undergo three internships—one mandatory and two optional—as part of the program. These internships aid students in comprehending the practical application of theory learned in the classroom and the real-life challenges associated with such applications.

Admissions

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Graduates from any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a recognised institute/university are eligible to apply for the NALSAR MANAGEMENT ENTRANCE TEST (N-MET PG). Candidates currently in their final year of study are also eligible to apply.

  2. Candidates who scored 70 percentile and above in CAT-2023 are exempt from taking N-MET PG. However, they are required to participate in all evaluation components.

Admissions to the M.B.A. Degree Program will be based on a combination of CAT/NALSAR MANAGEMENT ENTRANCE TEST (NMET) scores, Statement of Purpose (SOP), Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.

The NMET pattern is as follows:

a) Language Ability & Logical Reasoning: 30% weightage

b) Data Interpretation & Quantitative Ability: 40% weightage

c) Business Aptitude: 30% weightage

Candidates who pass the NMET/CAT will be selected for further evaluation, including Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Additionally, applicants must individually submit the Statement of Purpose (SOP) as per the admissions committee’s specified schedule and format. The weightage assigned to each component is as follows:

a) NMET/CAT: 50% weightage

b) Statement of Purpose (SOP): 10% weightage

c) Personal Interview: 20% weightage

d) Group Discussion: 20% weightage

 

The candidate’s academic record and any relevant work experience will be carefully considered.

The NMET exam structure resembles that of CAT and includes four sections: Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, and Data Interpretation.

For MBA:

Candidates can apply for the MBA course through both online and offline modes. Below are the step-by-step processes for each mode:

Online Mode:

  1. Applicants can apply online by clicking on the provided link.
  2. Register by providing an email ID and contact details to fill up the application form.
  3. Confirm registration and proceed to fill out the form.
  4. Enter accurate details in the mandatory fields and upload essential documents along with colored passport-size photographs.
  5. Upon submission of the form, pay the application fee of INR 1100/- (INR 800/- for SC/ST/PWD) via Credit Card/Debit Card.

Offline Mode:

  1. Candidates may apply by downloading the application from the CMS website.

  2. Attach a Demand Draft of INR 1100/- (INR 800/- for S.C./S.T./PWD) issued in favor of “Registrar, NALSAR M.B.A. A/c”, payable at Hyderabad.

  3. Send the duly completed application form along with essential documents to:

  2. New applicants must create a Login ID and password by registering their name, email, and password.
  3. Log in again using the user ID and password and carefully review the contents provided in the Dashboard.
  4. Click on ‘Update Profile’ and fill in all fields marked as mandatory.
  5. Attach only PDF files of essential documents.
  6. Complete the payment process using Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card and submit.
  7. Send the PayU money receipt to [email protected] after payment.

For Offline Mode:

  1. Download the application form from the NALSAR University website.
