Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham offers a range of scholarships across its various campuses, including Kochi, to encourage academic excellence and support deserving students. These scholarships are based on merit, entrance exam scores, and in some cases, financial need.

General Merit-Based Scholarships

• Chancellor’s Scholarship: Offered to students securing 80% and above in their qualifying examination. It covers 100% tuition fees.

• Meritorious Scholarship:

  • 30% tuition waiver for students scoring 80–89%

  • 50% tuition waiver for scores in the 70–79% range

Note: These scholarships generally apply to programs outside the health sciences stream.

Program-Specific Scholarships

MBA (Amrita School of Business – Kochi)

MBA students can avail of scholarships based on performance in entrance exams:

• ACAT Toppers: Up to 100% fee waiver

• CAT:

  • Above 85 percentile – 70% waiver

  • 75–85 percentile – 50% waiver

  • 70–75 percentile – 25% waiver

• MAT:

  • Above 90 percentile – 50% waiver

  • 80–90 percentile – 25% waiver

• KMAT (Kerala):

  • Above 350 marks – 50% waiver

  • 300–350 marks – 25% waiver

Continuation Criteria for MBA Scholarships:

• Maintain a CGPA of 8.5 or above

• No backlogs

• Good conduct certificate required

M.Tech Programs

• GATE-qualified students receive a monthly stipend of ₹12,400 as per AICTE norms.

• Non-GATE students can receive:

  • Endowment Scholarships: Up to ₹1 lakh tuition fee waiver for top 40% of students

  • Merit Scholarships: Up to ₹1 lakh waiver for top 30% of students

Important Notes

• Scholarships typically cover tuition fees only. Hostel, mess, and other expenses are not included.

• Health Science programs (such as Nursing, Pharmacy, and Allied Health Sciences) are usually excluded from Chancellor and Meritorious scholarships.

• To renew scholarships annually, students must:

  • Maintain a minimum CGPA (varies by program)

  • Achieve 75% attendance

  • Have no disciplinary record
