ATMA Eligibility Criteria 2024 - Academic Qualification and Age Limit

ATMA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are satisfying the eligibility criteria alone will be allowed to appear for the exam. The eligibility criteria of ATMA is almost similar to many other exams which are conducted to get MBA admission. There are also eligibility criteria for colleges. It is important for students to verify whether the colleges for which they are applying had been recognised by All India Council for Technical Education/ University Grants Commission. Students should also verify whether that particular college accepts ATMA scores.

The eligibility criteria for candidates are given in the following tables

Nationality
  • Students who are giving the exam should be an Indian Citizen as per the conditions given in the Indian Constitution
  • Candidates do not have any domicile restriction. This means the students from any state are allowed to apply for the colleges in any state.
Age Limit
  • Candidates should be at least 21 years old to apply for this exam.
  • There is no age restriction. This gives a wonderful opportunity for people from different age groups to give a try in this test.
Reservation
  • Reservation rules are not applicable. So, candidates belonging to different categories are treated the same.
  • But Institutions would have their own reservation rules. Some might be giving reservation to a certain category of people. Check before applying!!!
  • There is 25% concession in registration fees for women candidates and 50% registration concession in fees for the students from North-Eastern India, but the concession is not available to students belonging to general or other categories.
Work Experience
  • It is not necessary that applicants need to have work experience to appear in this exam.
  • Both working and non-working applicants are eligible to appear in this test.
Number of attempts
  • There is no restriction on the number of attempts to be given by the candidates.
  • During admission, the scores of the latest ATMA test will be taken into consideration. All other scores of the previous attempts will become invalid.
Educational background
  • Candidates should have completed either graduation or equivalent degree which satisfies the 10+2+3 condition,
  • Graduation should have been from a University which has been recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development under the government of India
  • Graduation does not have any restriction. It can be from any stream such as
Minimum marks
  • Applicants should have got at least 50% marks in their graduation.
  • This condition may vary according to the conditions of the institutions.
Concession for the students from the final year of graduation
  • Students who are in their final year of graduation can also apply for this exam.

Go through all the above eligibility conditions before applying for the exam. The conditions are so simple that candidates from different age group, work experience, states can apply for this exam. Since there is no limit on the number of attempts and the test is conducted multiple times in a year, students have ample opportunities to get into the colleges of their choice through this test.

There are also drawbacks because of the leniency in the conditions. There are more chances that students may not take the exam seriously. This should be avoided. Students should take every attempt seriously and should work by giving maximum efforts. If you are getting admission in colleges as early as possible, it would be beneficial to students in terms of job prospects.
