The highly anticipated Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) results are out. The national-level entrance exam is designed to evaluate an individual’s aptitude for education in the field of management. A good CMAT score is a prerequisite for securing one’s admission to India’s top business schools that are affiliated with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)

After months of hard work and preparation for the test, aspiring management professionals with top scores are faced with the dilemma of making an informed choice regarding the institute where they want to pursue their graduate studies. This opens up a world of possibilities that requires careful deliberation. An excellent choice to consider is the Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM).

Managed by the non-profit organization, Vignana Jyothi Society, VJIM is an AICTE-approved autonomous institution that is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and South Asian Quality Assurance System (SAQS). Founded in 1993 and located in the city of Hyderabad, they offer two-year full-time PGDM programs that are recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as an MBA equivalent. Their curriculum in management studies focuses on providing holistic and experiential learning, exposure to contemporary industry trends and issues, and a strong base in foundational concepts. The objectives of their curriculum are further strengthened with the support of exceptional faculty, excellent infrastructure, and an active student body.

According to the Times B- School Survey (2022) and Outlook (2022), VJIM is one of the top B-schools in India. This position of eminence has been secured by their effective pedagogies which include enhancing business competency, developing skills in personal and professional expression, providing experiential opportunities, applying theory to practice, and creating an environment of curiosity and questioning.

The full-time courses in management offered at VJIM include PGDM and PGDM (General). Students have the option to choose from a variety of specializations which include Business Analytics, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, and Operations. An in-depth study of foundational courses and an exploration of elective courses equip students to be confident in concepts and sharpen their critical thinking abilities. The core courses include marketing, finance, business communication, strategy, travel and tourism, general management, and more.

One of the unique practices at VJIM is Business News Analysis, where students are encouraged to build a discipline in reading business news regularly and correlating it to the concepts taught in class and larger business trends in general.

Apart from this the Students’ Forum also ensures a lively atmosphere of debates, discussions, and quizzes and allows students to find a sense of community on campus. Business Simulations also prepare students for many situations that they may face not only in their professional futures but in their more immediate placement interviews too.

VJIM also offers its students a well-organized placement process that sees participation from many reputed companies like Amul, Adani Wilmar, Godrej, BigBasket, etc.

If you are considering where to apply – VJIM, which is now open for admission to its post-graduate programs in management, should be on top of your list.

The eligibility criteria for applying include having a Bachelor’s Degree from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 50% Marks (45% in the case of SC/ST). Students graduating in 2023 may also apply if they have valid test scores in at least one of the National Level Tests (NLT’s such as CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT) and can provide valid proof of graduation at the start of the programme.

After the application process is complete, short-listed candidates will be called for personal interviews – after which the selection process will commence and selected candidates will receive an offer letter from VJIM.
