The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission held the Combined Civil Service examinations every year in the month of November. In the year 2019, the syllabus of the combined civil service examination has been revised and based on the new syllabus the examination will be conducted on 1st of November. The candidates who have applied for the combined civil service Group II and Group II A examination have to make sure that they revise according to the new syllabus.
Steps to View the New Syllabus:
To view the new syllabus which has been released, the candidates have to follow the steps carefully:
- The candidates have to visit the official website of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, www.tnpsc.gov.in .
- The candidates will find the option Examination in the home page of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Website.
- Under the examination, the candidates will find many options like online application, dates and exam centre. From that, the candidates have to select the option Syllabus.
- Clicking on the syllabus will take the candidates to a new page where the candidates can get access to the new syllabus for the examination and prepare according to it.
Examination Pattern:
The Group II and The Group II A will have the same pattern of the questions. The syllabus will also be somewhat the same. The examination will be conducted for a total of 300 marks. The duration of the examination will be for 3 hours. To move the next level of the selection process, the candidates have to score a total of 90 marks. This mark will be given consideration for the candidates who belong to SC, ST and other backwards classes according to the rules of the government. Subjects are General studies and aptitude.
