The IRMA Social Awareness Test (IRMASAT) is conducted by the Institute of Rural management Anand (IRMA), located at Anand, Gujarat for admission into the Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) programme.
This year the exam is to be conducted in the month of February – from 11th till the 23rd of the month at IRMA campus. It will be followed by Group Activity (GA) and Personal Interview (PI) on the same day.
Eligibility Criteria:
A graduate from any discipline, with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education, having 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ST/DAP (Differently Abled Person)) aggregate marks at the graduation level can apply for admission. The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned university or institution. In case the university/institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by IRMA by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100. Students in final year of their graduation can apply if they expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before July 01, 2019.
Selection Process:
A. IRMA will be shortlisting and calling applicants in two ways:
Merit-based Calls: Candidates of General Category, who score above 85 percentile in CAT 2018/XAT 2019 are eligible to be shortlisted for IRMASAT and GA and PI process.
Profile-cum-merit based Calls: Candidates of General Category, who score above 80 percentile in CAT 2018/XAT 2019 and fall in the Profile-based call criteria will be shortlisted for IRMASAT and GA and PI process. The key criteria to shortlist candidates based on profile are: (i) Excellence: Graduation from Top universities and Colleges, (ii) Work Experience in Social Impact, Community Development, Livelihoods, Policy and Advocacy, Agriculture and Allied sectors; (iii) Graduation in Social sciences, Development studies, Agriculture and Allied sciences.
Cut off for the candidates of reserved categories will be decided separately at appropriate time.
B. Shortlisted candidates will be called for selection process at IRMA where they will have to take the IRMA Social Awareness Test 2019 (IRMASAT 2019), Group Activity and Personal Interview. IRMASAT 2019, GA and PI process will be conducted at IRMA.
All the shortlisted competitors are qualified to participate in IRMASAT 2019 final selection round for admission to IRMA, Anand. Short listed candidates have to appear for the IRMA Social Awareness Test 2019 (IRMASAT 2019), Group Activity and Personal Interview which will be conducted by IRMA at it’s campus at Anand, Gujarat.
