The Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital was established in the year 1986 as part of the Delhi government’s 6th five-year plans.

It is one of the best medical hospitals in Delhi with a strength of 300 beds of which 150 are mainly for Maternity and Pediatrics.

The hospital provides all-important medical services and drugs without any cost, rendering its services to a huge chunk of the population.

The Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Delhi, has recently released a notification mentioning invitation of applications from all interested candidates for the post of Senior Resident at the hospital.

All those candidates who wish to apply for the post and are eligible for it can easily visit the hospital for a walk-in-interview.

The walk-in an interview has been scheduled for the 14th and 15th of November, that is, next week at 10.00 am.

This recruitment is supposed to fill in around 36 vacancies for the post of Senior Resident across various departments in the hospital, which include Medicine, Orthopedics, Anesthesia, Obst. & Gynae, Eye, Surgery, Pediatrics, Radiology and Forensic Medicine.

Those selected for the post can expect a salary of Rs. 67,700, in accordance with the 7th CPC Pay matrix level 11. Allowances shall be additional but as per the rules.

All interested candidates can easily apply for the post by filling up and submitting an application form in the format mentioned in the notification which is available on the website www.health.delhigovt.nic.in.

An important thing to note here is that candidates must attach all the required documents mentioned in a list given below the format of the application form.

The documents include-

  • Aadhar card
  • Caste certificate
  • Birth certificate
  • Such other documents as stated in the notification

Also, do not forget to paste a passport size photograph of yourself and carry the form with the documents on the day of the interview.

The selected candidates will be appointed for a period of 1 year initially, and upon judgement of their performance, this tenure may be extended to a maximum of 3 years. Applicants must have done an MBBS with a post-graduate degree, diploma, etc.

Fulfilling the educational qualification is one of the basic requirements of this recruitment process and candidates must not fail in adhering to this.

The candidates must also adhere to the stipulated age limit. The upper age limit for the post of Senior Resident is 40 years.

There are, however certain cases, where, in accordance with the rules, age relaxation is allowed.

This is possible for candidates belonging to certain categories only. Candidates must also note that they must not have already completed a 3-year tenure at some other medical institute.
