It’s never too early or too late to work towards being the healthiest you. This idea was further implemented in a humanitarian way through the Medical Camp for the children from Jaagriti, an NGO based in Dwarka, organized by Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM) in collaboration with Sparsh, the Social Initiative Society of LBSIM. The medical camp was organized in successful partnership with Ayushman Hospital, Dwarka.

The children were brought inside the college premises, wherein the medical camp was set up. The whole campus got enchanted by the spell of the wide and the innocent smiles of children. The event was inaugrated by Mr. Mudit Shastri, the grandson of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji, Dr. D. K. Srivastava (Director, LBSIM), Mr. Anuj Verma (Faculty Coordinator, Management Grid), Mr. Naresh Wadhwa (Assistant Placement Officer), Mr. Saurabh Maloo (President, Management Grid), and Mr. Karan Aggarwal (Coordinator, SPARSH). This was then followed by Mr. Mudit Shastri’s interaction with the children regarding some personal hygiene and healthy-living habits. Dr. D.K. Srivastava also introduced the children with the principles of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji. Further, Prof. Anuj Verma also graced the event by emphasizing on the crucial aspects of a healthy life.

The volunteers from Sparsh arranged various fun games including lemon race and drawing competition. The winners of the competitions were awarded by Prof. Gitanjali Sahi. The intuitive children sketched their view of an ideal world; a world full of greenery, and a world where both girls and boys have an equitable chance to live and to learn.

Shortly thereafter, the medical check-up of the children was conducted by the doctors from Ayushmaan Hospital, Dwarka.

After the conclusion of the medical camp, refreshments were provided to all of them. The children left the campus with wider smiles, healthier minds, and beautiful memories. This marked the successful execution of, yet another social welfare initiative taken by the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management.
