Mr N.R. Narayan Murthi once quoted “Nobody is bothered about an institution more than its Alumni“.
The Alumni Chapter Meets of Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management in various cities, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune and Bangalore, during the outreach programme in August witnessed the presence of such Alumni who not only take concern and have the love for their Alma Mater but are also still rooted to its values.
The Chapter Meets in different cities are planned annually by Reminiscence, the Alumni Foundation of LBSIM to bring their alumni to a single platform in their respective cities.
The chapter meets were attended by various alumni from almost all the batches of LBSIM. While on one hand, there were alumni from the very current batch of 2018, on the other, we had alumni from even the starting batches as old as 1997 and 1998. We had Mr Amit Kapoor, Deputy General Manager SEBI, batch 1997, Mr Anupam Ray, AVP Deutsche Bank, batch 2002, Ms Payal Gaba Vasudev, Director HR, batch 2003 along with many other eminent Alumni.
The Chapter Meets were also graced by our faculty fraternity. The Chapter Meet gave an opportunity to the students of the various outreach programme to interact with the esteemed alumni from various fields. It was undoubtedly an enriching experience for the students from the present batches to learn from the vast multitude of experiences of such alumni who have achieved inordinate heights in
their respective fields.
After the valuable conversations, there was a cake cutting ceremony which was followed by a vote of thanks from the Alumni Cell members. The Chapter Meet was concluded with a formal dinner.
