Dear Readers,

The D-day is right here. The CBSE is all set to declare the
JEE Main 2015 results on Monday, April 27. On this day, the board will declare
the JEE Main score of each candidate. Simultaneously, it would also declare
whether the candidate is eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam. Do note
that the top 1.5 lakh candidates (on the basis of their performance in the JEE
Main exam) would be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced. The category-wise
break-up of these 1.5 lakh toppers is as follows:

General Category – 75,750

OBC – 40,500

SC – 22,500

ST – 11,250

It is worth mentioning here that nearly 13 lakh candidates
had registered for the JEE Advanced 2015. Hence, a little more than 10% of the
candidates who had registered for the JEE Main would be eligible to appear for
the JEE Advanced.
