IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre (IIMUIC) is now accepting applications from social impact start-ups that are using innovative business models to solve important social problems in India. The program is designed to support start-ups that have a focus on social innovation and a self-sustaining business model, and offers resources to help them scale up their impact.
This includes seed funding of up to INR 1,000,000 per startup, incubation and acceleration support for a year, custom mentoring workshops and capacity-building sessions, follow-up investment support from IIMUIC’s investment community, and networking and pilot opportunities with partners.
Ms. Suresh Dhaka, the CEO of IIM Udaipur Incubation Centre, said, “With this program, IIMU’s Incubation Centre is promoting the social cause in society. We aim to support and mentor the ‘social-preneurs’ who are innovative and working towards addressing the social challenges through their start-ups. Our goal is to assist those who need guidance to build a distinctive business model to help them achieve self-sustaining and access to finance. We hope the program would additionally help to develop corporate social-preneurs.”
The program registration period is open from December 21, 2022 to January 5, 2023.
- Selected start-ups will receive the following benefits:
- Seed funding of up to INR 10,000,000 per startup
- Incubation and acceleration support for 12 months
- Custom mentorship workshops and capacity-building sessions
- Networking and pilot opportunities with partners
- Connection to investors for additional industry exposure.
Eligibility
- Have been operating in India for a minimum of 1 year.
- Have early traction or validation with customers.
- Have a mission to solve social or environmental challenges with clear intentionality of impact and alignment to the SDGs.
- Are duly registered and recognised by DPIIT.
- We highly encourage social enterprises led by women to apply.
